Gunsmith would be the one to confirm
I haven't fired it and the chap who brought out from England did not either
    Before that - unknown

Ive just finished rereading "pack n rifle" for the umteenth dozen time....back in the day these were the shit......one of if not the most preferrred rifle of choice for many deer cullers in the late 60s early 70s. either way you look at her,she is a thing of beauty made when gunsmiths knew how to make things properly and werent mass produced chopshop artists.
if you wanted to buy it to chop it back and fit a can....well you would be a fool and a philistine. these are what they are and hold money because of it...fit a m8 loupy in 3 or 4x and take it out hunting, bring it home and give it some love with oily rag and it will outlast you and be passed on to grandkids.

Put some pics in the Walnut and Blued Steel thread...just to remind us what a thing of beauty looks like.
