    BSA Majestic .270

BSA Majestic .270 with kahles Helia 3-9x40 FFP scope.
Itís old ish. In good useable condition.
    Nice action.
Blueing on all metal work is worn.
Scope has a couple of small dents. Lenses have slight scratching from years of cleaning off with a handkerchief I would think.
Has green paint on the barrel and a limbsaver recoil pad.
The group I the photo had the first shot 2Ē high. It was my first shot out of a clean barrel and I had not ever shot the rifle before so it could have been me. The trigger is about 6 lb. the next 3 were 1 1/2. Ammo was 130gr Norma sp. it was shot as you would in the field prone at 100m over a rolled up jacket with no rear support.
Plenty good enough to go hunting. It has seen and killed many animals.
    Selling on behalf $800

    I suspect that isn't a Majestic.
Majestic is a push feed, this one is controlled. A superior action to the majestic in my opinion.
There is a link to a BSA website on here somewhere that will give you the model according to the serial number.
    Overkill is still dead.

Thanks I’ll check it out. This would have been a fancy pants rifle in its day.

It looks like a BSA Royal featherweight in the Imperial action length. Most people knew them as lightweight or featherweight Hunters. I've had one the same years ago but with the muzzle brake.

Also looks from the wear on the checkering to have done some miles. John kibbs international is the site your looking for.
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along

You guys are right, just testing you. Doesn’t have majestic on it. And is the featherweight. Has a hollowed out bolt knob. It has done some miles and seen some sights all over the south island alps in it’s day. Weight is 7.5lb with scope. And 20” barrel so similar to a tikka t3. Trigger has a 2stage short light take up with a crisp but heavy break 6 lb and no noticeable over travel.

Barrel at 20" probably means that the muzzle brake has been chopped off

The open sights were probably regulated to that load or vise versa as the case may be.
