    Buller Lace-ups

    Had them 30+ years ago
Heard the later makes are not as good - rubber wise or in heel etc ????

Any old (but top condition) pairs laying around from the older batches - or let me know any experiences with today's lot
    Size needed 7-8 UK/NZ

last set i saw were made in indonesia, the rubber felt soft and tacky and the heel was too far forward so when you put your foot down the pressure went in 1/2" in front of the heel. now this dont sound much unless you walk a few miles in them then it just is nasty

    Are your feet that small?

I've got a pair I brought 5 years ago that are still going reasonably well (I really only use them in shale riverbeds which are rough as hell on leather boots....) - doesn't help you though as they are 12's - I just wanted to give you heaps about having small feet

Let's not get started on the Skellerup Hikers - which used to be pretty good, but are now made in China....and shit, they don't last like they used to.

    Actually not for me
BUT - my size is same and a like a small projectile - velocity of foot traveling towards your arse will be quicker and straighter than a slow moving Yeti

The last of them were sold off at the Field Days Hamilton approx. 3-4 years ago, mainly in the smaller sizes. You could get lucky if someone brought up large as they were $50 a pair. Heard that Hunting and Fleecing were going to get them manufactured again but probably won't happen now they have abandoned the hunting fraternity.

Hey Sarvo, i havent noticed any change in bullers over the years but ive only been wearing them for maybe 15 odd years so the change might have been before my time. Shame your not a size 9 i brought a few boxes of them for cheap when they stopped making them as i go through a few pairs a year. Hunting and fishing did do a limited run on them a couple years ago and i think there are a few still floating around in the stores, size 7-8 probably isnt as sought after so you could get lucky calling around a few H&F stores.

Sarvo was kindly asking on my behalf.

I'm proud of my Hobbit feet, thank you very much @Nickoli.

Size 9 would actually be about right. I'm a 42.5 Euro in most boots, so fingers crossed!

@Dev, I'll flick you a PM. Generous offer to give a pair away. If they fit me fine, I'll buy another pair or two off you @kbrebs if you're still keen on it?

I've just about had it with the $800-$900 fancy schmancy gortex/leather boots (which have always fallen apart for one reason or another).

I'll still stick with a technical pair for ice and snow, but for everything else, something lightweight, durable, and impervious to moisture - as the Bullers are - would be ideal.
