    Bushnell 4200 2.5-10x40 scope

Scope new in NZ about 4years. Glass in good nick, no scatches. Couple of marks/scratches to the body and turret caps but otherwise works great. Has Rainguard coating so water beads on the lens. Includes butler creek caps as well. Standard Multi-X reticle. Selling as upgraded to a Zeiss so surplus to requirements.

$400 incl post. PM me if interested. Cheers

Thanks. I'm a big fan of the rainguard or any hydrophobic coating. Have watched mates frantically trying to dry the rain off their lens to take a shot when the old bushnell is as clear as.

No will be 1", The old school 4200 was one of the best scopes Bushy ever made, about five years ago they went to the argon model which wasn't as good & had shite glass, if it's an original, then will be a great scope for someone.

I have a 4200 2.5-16x42 on my 300 wm, and it has a 30mm tube. I was wrongly assuming this would be the same

Hmm. Just re read OP. States nz new 4 years ago

Bloody good scope, got one I use on the 308 on the island, 2.5 is nice for close bush / moving animals 10 gives more mag than I need for hunting

    Think the 2.5-16x42 is a 6500, I don't remember them making a 4200 with that magnification range.

So had a quick look through some old pics. Was on rifle in winter 2010 making it 6 years old. Time flies. So this may put it in the same era that Phillipo was referring to.
    Tube is 1 inch.
    Cheers.
