    Carbon stocked Rem 700

Rem 700, trued action by Grant at Trueflite, Senator Carbon fibre stock, bedded, Talley rings, just fitted with unused factory Remington .270 Win 24" barrel.

No load development work done. (yet) So no idea how it shoots yet.
Stock had had repair, Araldite reinforced with glass, rifle got used as an emergency brake going down a sheet of ice that had a few rocks poking out.
The stone coating applied by Senator has worn through in the carry/use areas, considering getting rid of the coating altogether and putting a coat of clear over the carbon weave.

    $1600.

Agreed, should be worth a lot more than asking price

Figured I'd wait for a lowball offer, and then I'd put the price up by a hundred or so........

Ok, my lowball offer is $100, you can put the price up by $300 if you want and I suppose I will still buy it...

That, is actually quite an unreasonable thing to say, given you do not have possession of the stock to comment.

What happened to the previous barrel ? Seems odd to true an action only to put a rem factory tube on.
    Cheers

That barrel is going on another rifle when that rifle has done it's current barrel. It is in 2506, one of the most misunderstood and underestimated cartridges out there. .270 has more understanding and acceptance, I had a new 700 Rem barrel, selling the rifle, so swapped the barrels over. Quite happy to sell with the 2506 UM barrel that came off, but the price, which is already very reasonable, will go up.

Still for sale, going to start putting a war chest together for next Nats, and racing is expensive!
