Yeah, bought a shotgun last week from Welly I had to provide a mail order from to get it here using H&F store to store shipping. Dropped off the details in copshop 20 min later @ was out to owner.
Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

They would have been told to haul arse or it'll look bad. It's a good idea, all power to them.

Now, about the dedicated property crime units.... (Y'know, to target the recidivist burglars, how the crooks ACTUALLY get their guns..)

Sending a scanned for used to be against the rules up until the cops started having to pay for the stamps.

Selling them is the problem, you do the deal, you give him your FAL, email and address, he doesn't follow thru with the sale, he's got all your details and knows you have rifles and where you live. Therefore you need his details as the buyer and get them checked out by the police BEFORE you give him yours as the seller

They are probably checking for any changes to address while doing the FAL check?

I think the cops have virtually no interest in following up that kind of thing....speeding tickets are where its at.

So that the police can check if they have the current address for a FAL holder. I've had this happen with a rifle I sold. When I took the details of the buyer in, the AO said they gave a different address for the guy, so he contacted the buyers local AO to do a new inspection.

The speed that you travel Maca I am surprised that the Police don't just give you a ticket book and agree with you that you should write yourself one out every three days.
