    clear-out - 223 Rifle, Scope, Daypack

Time to offer up a few bits of gear that have been replaced..

    Rem 700 SPS blued .223.
1:12 24" barrel, threaded 1/2x20tpi. Floorplate model, will hold 5 in mag +1 in chamber. Has fired a lot of rounds, but still seemed to be shooting just fine when I found a bargain too good to ignore and replaced it. Wasn't fussy about ammo, shot almost anything with good results. Trigger has been worked, now very light and extremely pleasant to use - Approx 1.5lb breaking point, great for longer shots on smaller targets. Trigger weight can be increased again with grub screw. Few bumps and scrapes as is expected, mainly on bottom metal. Strongly prefer pickup from Fairlie, or may be able to drop off to Timaru - But will consider offers that require shipping. Obviously has had a long and happy life, price reflects that at $500.

1-inch tube. Side-focus parallax adjust. 'Christmas-tree' BDC reticle calibrated for 10x. Comes with clear flip-up caps. Minor ring marks (see photo). Very clear glass for the money.

Size 3 harness. Don't know exact capacity, but believe it's 35 or 40L. Tough fabric. Comfy harness.
2x Lid pockets, internal camelbak pouch, 2x side bottle pockets, 2x slim front pockets.
(Not a good colour for bush-stalking..)

I can confirm that 223 shoots well and has accounted for many small furry critters.
