Try finding a Skope vertical fridge as shown in the above replies. They're going to be cheaper and more energy efficient than a stand alone chiller, plus will fit almost anywhere. I'm happy to help if there is anything that piques your interest but if I had an order for everyone who asked if I "knew where there was a cheap chiller for a couple carcasses" I'd be building them myself. The chillers I have seen on Trademe are mostly tired old shitters. If you see one your interested in put up the link and I can give it the once over should you want an opinion from someone in the trade.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds
Hi all,
I have this previous refrigerated truck body that you can have for a couple of boxes of beer if you want it. Its in pretty good nick, fully insulated and currently has some wooden shelves inside it, these can be easily removed as they are not built in.
Can PM me if you want it, I'm based in rural south auckland
fail;y easy access but will need someway to lift it
@Friwi I can check that chiller just mentioned out.
Hi Guys, many thanks for the feed back.I can not open the pictures from bloobybob, maybe to big size pictures?
I have sent to my mate the link to this thread of the forum to see what he likes and will come back ounce he decides what he wants to do.
Probably bigger than what was wanted in original post but this may be for sale, not mine but was part of commercial kitchen, 2.2 metre square outside measurement.

After chating with my mate last night, he is probably going to home with that glass cabinet options.
Been thinking about chillers for ages but not been able to find anything that worked for the amount of room I have available. Thought long and hard about those display fridge setups but wondered if they had sufficient volume. It's great to see others using them (thanks for posting those photos) and even better to hear they can fit a couple of deer. Perfect.
Cheers lads!

I have an old fridge in the garage that gets turned on when I have meat to chill, or the missus has bulbs she needs to chill for 6 weeks (like now!).
Deer or sheep hang overnight outside in a Stoney Creek meatsafe. I choose cooler nights for doing sheep, but that doesn't work for wild game, though I don't hunt much during summer.
Next morning I break down the animal and it goes in the fridge, about 4 days later I finish the butchery and meat goes into the freezer.
I do exactly the same as cigar , I can put 2 lambs in when cut into three , I wrap in gladwrap to prevent meat drying out . A huge difference in tenderness with 4/5 days in fridge , had a stag and a wild pig in there day of lockdown for 4 days , tender as . I was thinking of getting something bigger at first to chill meat but for me it works great and a spare fridge at christmas to boot.
