    Custom Remington 700 SS .300WSM

    Custom Remington 700 SS .300WSM

-Stainless steel barreled action has been KG GunKoted to make the stainless steel even less vulnerable to corrosion. Some scratches on the coating from usage.

-The action has been fully lightened with lightened bolt handle and straight fluted bolt body. Also the lightweight firing pin and (Nesika style) bolt-shroud has been installed.

-Older style Remington trigger. Lightened with no creep and little over travel. Very nice.

-A sako style extractor has been installed.

    - An excellent 26.5" Lilja barrel with light fluting. 300 rounds down the tube so far.

-T2 Terminator Muzzle brake. This is a good piece of kit that makes this rifles recoil feel similar to a .223-243. http://terminatorproducts.co.nz/inde...zzle-brakes-t2

-Bell and Carlson Remington Titanium stock. This has alloy pillars and is bedded to the action. Internal mag. Limbsaver recoil pad also installed.

-Accuracy: This rifle shoots well with the 208 Hornady Amax and 2217 (See groups shot by 2 different people). With the velocity averaging 2865fps. The 208 Amax is a devastating bullet on Game. Load data as per pics (& COAL provided).

The rounds fit in the magazine but feeding isn't reliable enough for hunting, so single feeding is best. Feeding maybe more reliable with lighter/shorter projectiles, I don't know as I haven't tried it. I'm sure a good gunsmith could get it feeding more reliably if required.

This is a great rifle that is set up for open country type hunting, As said above with the T2 Terminator muzzle brake makes the rifle hardly recoil. Could also be cut down & suppressed to make a super-pig.

Dies, brass and projectiles available if needed. Also, Talley lightweights 30mm Lows available if needed. Scope not included.

Selling as it is a safe queen now that I've got my Forbes up & running.

Any questions feel free to ask. PM's are preferred as I'll get an email alert.

    Thinking $2600 ono

I'm interested in the following so might be open to negotiating trades +/- cash etc.
    - Tricked up Model 7 SAUM
    - Titanium rifle action
    - Leica 10x25 Ultravids

Sale fell through. Note that with the way this Sako style extractor has been installed the cases are expelled at a steep angle & will hit a low mounted rail, then drop back into the action. Hasn't been an issue for me as I've been using rings.

Also, decided to try & sort the feeding as its always annoyed me. So the gun is currently with Maisey.

Got this back from Dean a few weeks back but just getting around to updating this now.

It now feeds very smoothly. He changed the follower to a Kimber one which he said is often an easy fix for WSM cases. OAL length of loaded rounds needs to be shortened 0.5mm/20thou to ensure smooth feeding - so buyer will have to re-validate the above loading.

He also noted that it didn't extract UNfired cases due to the OAL, so he milled out part of the rear bridge to enable this.
