Thread: DPT M14x1 MK 1 .223 suppressor

Thinning out a crazy stack of accumulated suppressors.

Dpt muzzle can with 8x .22 baffles.
This suppressor came with my desert tech .22-243 barrel with 5 baffles and has had some use. It shows signs of flame erosion on 3 or 4 of those baffles but still plenty of life left. I have never been able to get the first baffle off, needs the dpt tool to remove it as its well stuck on.
I have only used it on my .22 TCM (about 150 rnds).

I recently picked up another over barrel DPT that had another 3 .22 baffles with much less use so have almost no erosion, the machining marks are still visible. (Last pic)
It has had a few rub marks before my ownership that I have pencil touched up with duracoat so looks tidy now.

The can new is $300 and the 3 extra baffels are $135 so $435 to replace.

I've got a 22-250 barrel ordered and was going to use my 7mm Mag suppressor on it (Hardy gen 5 magnum)

Would this be any better/quieter?

Much quieter

From memory I don’t think you are supposed to take the first baffle off? I could be wrong but that’s my understanding with the DPT.

On the over barrel you cant remove the section that has the thread engraved on it (looks like a baffle from a distance) All of the baffles can and should be removed for cleaning.
