I tie Fluro tape to mine.

Have lost one or two before putting them down, while skinning/gutting etc, and then not being able to locate them again.

Haven't lost one in the 20 odd years since.

    Cheers

this was worse... i had a little ridgeline canvas pouch on my belt with the knife in it as well as some spare shells, a liter some inner tube and an emergency poncho type thing. Typically the knife was the only bastard that fell out when the pouch opened itself. By the time I noticed who knows how much supplejack lay between me and wherever the knife was!

Probably sitting having a good chat with the roaring horn I lost five or so years back. Sat down to have a snack, put it down and just left the fucker there.

That's exactly why I no longer wear a pouch on my belt or put things in the outside pockets of my day pack.

I just use a webbing pouch with a buckle. After doing a heap of press-ups due to it being left unbuckled you soon learn to keep it buckled

Camo gloves are the thing I leave behind. Take them off to eat lunch. Hard to see on the ground. Walk away.

hmmm its nice not having to take a pack though when you're just out for the morning but still have some basic stuff just in case.. I think I'll look at trying to put a buckle or something like that at the end of the zip to hold her in place so I don't lose more shit. Do you guys carry a pack every time you go out? I find it gets caught on everything and is annoying in general
