We had Dundee lamb chops the other night. Yum Yum sheep’s bum.

$150 for the size of the Dundee pet hoggets wouldn’t be bad value for a towny. Just the four roasts from the 2 back legs would be that much from a butcher.
And there is the bonus of meeting the Dundee clan when you go there to kill it.
    Dundee and mucko like this.

Unless you can spare the $75,000 fine you risk being slapped with if a complaint is laid against you.:>)

Unless you are a company then it is $300,000

It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.

Nope... They will get you for operating as a game estate without registration or for providing "facilities for any person to kill or process an animal for human or animal consumption, otherwise than in accordance with Parts 2 to 4, knowing that the person has not been engaged in the day-to-day maintenance of the animal, or of other animals of the same kind, for at least 28 days immediately preceding the killing of the animal, ...."

The Freezing works almost removed our ability to slaughter and prepare our own animals for our consumption. They lost, but in the process made it bloody difficult and tied it p fairly tightly , just because they wanted a profit from us selling our animals to them and another for slaughtering then selling our animal back to us.
If you are interested, here is a link to the legislation. Part 6 and Section 131 are the nitty gritty bits.

Animal Products Act 1999 No 93 (as at 24 June 2014), Public Act Contents – New Zealand Legislation

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I often wondered what was making those enormous great holes in the paddocks around Rotorua. The Maori called them Tomo's but thanks to you, I now know that it was the burrow of the Giant Flemish.:>)

    Now you are "with it."

Just don't provide them with "any facilities" and what they may do after they leave your property with "said animal" is not attributable to you, unless it was within a withholding period following drenching/injection. :>)
