    FS Vortex scope

Vortex Diamondback 4-16 x 42 HP scope. BCD Recticle.
As new and only purchased a few months back.
I don't really want to sell as it's a great scope but it's just not what I require.
I am doing long range varmint shooting and need a scope that has more magnification ( old eyes ) and I need to be able to dial up.

If anyone has a suitable scope I would be happy to exchange or have a bit of money go either way.
It has all original boxes, manuals,

Purchased new for $799, some places sell them at $899 , I am after $700.
Would rather it goes to a forum member.

    Cheers Guys.

The Diamond back HP is a dial up scope, have one ( same as yours) on my 7mm Mag and it works well, only thing it doesn't have is zero stop so you need to keep an eye on how many rotations you dial so you return it back to the correct sight in zero.

Hey Mooseman, really ? I know you can basically dial any scope . The turrets are low profile and mate I can't hear the clicks. Bloody good scope though but I could use more magnification. Thanks for the info though.

+1, even the standard Diamondbacks dial very well, i have 3 of them on different rifles and they all go well, a mate has the same scope you have, and dials quite fine. They seem to be nice and repeatable and return to zero fine. The turrets are number in MOA and have 1/4 moa dashs, easy as.

Dial up is dial up. Magnification is a different story. My eyes are old. Sometimes I like more than 16 x magnification

Most times I like 18 (unless to much heat blur) at least side focus, 30mm tube,50 mm objective.

Rabbits, hares , blue pheasants etc at 300 with 300 Win Mag or .223 you need at least those features (Just in my opinion of course)

Leupold is slightly better than Vortex as well.. Own a few of both . HD 5 Better again. A certain Nightforce I ve used better again ...

    Time for an upgrade ....
