    Garmin etrex

Hi guys & gals just wondering if anyone has an old Garmin etrex they are looking to get rid of. I have been using the old mans rhino 650 for the past few months which has been wicked, but came back from uni and have to give it back

Anyway on a tight budget so just wanting something basic to mark camp as a backup for the map & compass. Feel free to pm me.

    Cheers,

    Hot barrels

whats are you going to use it for? Tops or Bush? My best advice is save a little while longer and get something that works! This is only based on bush experience as sat com is shite with these! In the bush, don't know where you are, and need to find a clearing to pick up sats! Had to ues a compass on several occasions to get out. I gave mine away to a mates daughter for high country trekking.

Mainly as a backup for on the tops when it clags in, i prefer map and compass in the bush if i can for the reasons above.
