    German K98 Russian Capture

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to sell my 1942 K98 'Russian Capture' Mauser.
    Photos: https://imgur.com/a/c2CQoof

    Barrel:
There is a significant amount of rifiling in the barrel. It is very prominent. I am not sure if there is any pitting, but in all honesty I would assume so given the sheer age of the firearm.

    Stock:
The stock is in quite good condition but there are a few cosmetic blemishes. These include: 1) drip marks on either side of the chamber of the rifle, 2)small chips under the barrel band, 3) stripped screw on the bottom plate, and 4), small indented circular mark near the front forend on one side. Aside from the two drip marks, which were from me cleaning the rifle, I am not aware of where the other blemishes originated.

    Accuracy:
The accuracy of the rifle is not too bad but it's not a Sako. My best 5 shot group was 4 MOA which in reality was more of a fluke than anything. I use Highland 8x57, 196g. I have put an estimated 180-200 rounds through it. This is comprised of 2 service rifle shoots, 70 rounds each, and 3 rounds at the range. I have a bunch of spent cases lying around.

    Rust:
There is surprisingly little to no rust on the firearm. After outing, I take the entire firearm apart and clean it. The barrel goes through a 45min cleaning process using Hoppes and Boretech Eliminator via a carbon fibre cleaning rod. All metal parts are sprayed with Ballistol, let to sit in, wiped, dried, reassembled, then stored back in the safe.

I am looking for $1500 for the rifle.
I cannot ship the rifle, hence it will have to be a pick up from my address in Tauranga which will have to be organised.
Viewings are more than welcome but would have to be arranged.

    Thanks for your time,

    Dan
