should of mentioned that my guns and shooting range (farm) are in the waikato. . . so anyone in the waikato would be ideal. how thick does it need to be to stop a 210 grain 30 cal bullet? the stuff I have now is still getting holes punched through it at 700yards.

Mild steel is soft as hell, needs to be biz 80 minimum but preferably 400-500,12mm 4 or 5 hundy grade should hold up well 16mm should handel most anything.

Bizalloy (SP?) 1/2 inch, go see any heavy machinery repair outfit and they should have some old crap laying around. Or a local profile cutter if there is one handy. Take beer.

    Re: Gongs wanted

What size you after. Have some worn 400 under my bench. Pay freight its yours. Will be heavy. Varies from 32 to nothing depending on wear but you won't put a hole in it
