    Good binos

After buying a couple of nice euro scopes I probably should give myself the best chance of finding an animal. After some 8x42s or 10x42s. Budget of around $800 but could spend a little more if it's too good to pass up. Running with the buy once cry once theory

Don't rule out some of the glasses from yesteryear. I have a compact set of Leica 10x 25, rate them highly. My go to binos are a set of bnu5 8x30 made in Russia, they are basically early Zeiss. 8x mag are easier to hold, wider field of view and these have a slight yellow tinge which makes browns stick out & greens more vivid, so spotting game is excellent.
Price was 100 bucks, so I wouldn't feel too bad if I lost them, although I would certainly walk a half day to get them back.

I've got a pair of Steiner 8x30 Predators that I'm willing to part with for $400 plus postage if required. Great glass and very compact. They are the old style not the style which are currently stocked by H&F, I can send through photos of my ones if you are interested and refer to link below. Binos were brought on the spur of the moment when purchasing other items in the USA as back ups to my current glass, which I am still running, therefore these have never been used in the field and just sat around in their original box for years now.
