@lee308 I have just attached 3 of these https://tinyurl.com/wmdh5lx one to my 308, .22 and 303. rifles and am pleased with them. Small and the liquid is an "OIL" not water hence the bubble moves slowly not dashing back and forwards in the water based jobs.
Not expensive but then that isn't always necessary.

It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.

I have one of these off alixpress, seems quite tight and I’m worried it will scratch the tube

Perhaps, run a piece of sellotape around the tube as protection before attaching the level, or leave it on the tube when you come to sell the tube. The "price is right" to leave it attached.

@dannyb "Well done that man," with the pictures...I considered doing some piccies but I'm a lazy Bastard. I omitted to mention that they also come in a 25 mm ring internal diameter .

Hunting Spirit Bubble Level Rifle Scope Mount for 20mm Picatinny Weaver Rail 11/20mm Rifle Sight Scope Mount

I got a few seems to work fine and matches my Wheeler Scope Mounting Kit levels, I got the ones you clamp onto your Picatinny / Weaver rail and have them tucked up under the scope turrets.

Works fine on my Desert Tech 338 Lapua Magnum.

Just dont lick them for a few months

I've got spare bubbles for $10 each plus delivery. Self-levelling. Specify imperial or metric. Pop a couple in your Thermos before leaving base camp.

I find the bubble moves too slow, have to tilt rifle a heap to make it move. Then it splits under recoil Might've got a dud.

Yeah if the bubble is sluggish you end up chasing it.

I also had an interesting one with an expensive Anschutz level that attached to the foresight tunnel on my smallbore rifle.
First outing it drove me nuts, racing from side to side and never stopping midway.
I carefully pulled the bloody thing apart and found the curved glass vial was installed with the curve facing down duh.
Reassembled with curve upwards and we became the best of mates thereafter.
