    Good Jacket

    Hi guys and girls,

Before I go new does anyone have a mid-high end jacket in good condition gathering dust? I'm 6'2" and average 110kg so will need an XL.

Let me know what you've got.

If I do go new I'm thinking Swazi Tahr Anorak is the one for me although they are rather spendy.

    Cheers,
    Adam

Have a Tahr and it is a great piece of kit however water does get in the front zip area and you end up with a wet front. In cold windy conditions all these types of non insulated jackets chill you with the wind passing over the wet fabric so bear that in mind. as well.

What model/how old? I have three of them, original goretex one, original aegis one and new xp and the original goretex one let's a tiny bit of moisture in the zip area only because the Velcro on the flap is pretty buggered, aegis one is fine and the xp has a waterproof zip so even with flap open it doesn't leak

I have a couple of coats with "waterproof" zips....not.
These are good value if you don't mind the camo.

Has the salopettes/Bib Overalls as well
Bloody good - breaths and keeps the rain out - better than most the modern 3-600 stuff in my book
    Cost me $55

Cheers guys. I think I'm going to go with a new Tahr. I like the look of the Karigoul but think the length of the tahr will be useful
