    Hovercraft for sale

    Hovercraft for sale.
Tornado hovercraft as per the attached brochure.
Not the exact same one but XS model specs and needs some work to get back on the go, but not much to do for someone mechanical and with the time.
I ended up with it from business partner after winding up agreement.
Thought it would be good for duck shooting and getting up East Coast braided rivers .... "but life gets in the way of things you would rather be doing".
I have used it locally a couple of times to work through the items that needed to be done to make it safe for remote use.

Needs new skirt / fingers. Easily done by saddler of someone like Kolorful Kanvas or other vinyl and awning makes. Individual fingers are bolted and cable tied to craft. Whole new set advised as the ones on it are getting pretty worn.

I replaced the existing Subaru engine as the previous one had been for a swim. Engine mounts replaced and engine going well when last used.

Transmission has new belt and parts but needs a little more engineering to strengthen the whole arrangment.

Stearing and throtle replaced and working well.

Has new gererator but needs complete re wiring and battery.

Exhaust pipes need to be modified a little for layout with the new engine.

Whole thing is on good road legal trailer that is out of WOF and registration. But in good condition and should be OK with maybe new wheel bearings only as not moved in 3 or 4 years.

Good quality fan that provides thrust and lift from the one unit. I have modified the splitter for more lift at low speed and less thrust. Believe me you don't want to open these up full tilt as they are pretty hard to stop... NO BRAKES !!!!!

Its been in a shed the whole time never left out in the weather etc.
Its slightly buried under other stuff that is easily moved to get it out if anyone is interested.
I need the shed space back ASAP and Im happy to entertain any and all offers.
But please no dreamers as the trailer alone ( 4.0m x 2.4m ) is worth a couple of K.
Realistic seller as realise I don't have the time and should move it on while its worth fixing.
    Located Canterbury.
    Happy to answer serious questions.
