Asking same question I'm guessing it's based on distance and extras like RD and signature tracking

Fastway $35 within Island $45 inter island. Only depot to depot. Not to door.

Fastway will deliver directly to a gunsmith or firearm retailer.

There are other companies who will deliver firearms, all retailers don't use Fastways.

Interesting I didn't get told that when I asked.... And don't try getting someone else to pick it up even if they have a firearms license as it has to be delivered to the person who's name is on the parcel...

Each different Fastway Franchise is a law unto it's self, some of the South Island operators charge $75, take it or leave it attitude. So far I've been charged between $35-$50 up here, depending on package size. If you are purchasing it pays to ask before you buy. If you are a Commercial Fastway customer it's $25 inter Island.

Fastways are not the only ones who ship firearms. Mainfreight ship rifles as well. I am sure there are others too.

If you are being charged more than $35 in-island you need to ask why the cost is so high , and how they arrive at their cost.

Did the Courier know he was carrying a firearm, tell us who has this rate, would use them.
