Thread: Howa 1500 Mini Action .223

Owned this for a few months as my first foray into .233 for the kids. A great rifle Fell for the calibre so upgraded for a rifle for myself. So this needs to go. The kids will miss it. It’s been plenty of fun and leathal on Fallow with DeerXP and goats with Sako 55.

It’s the 1-8 twist 20in. Epoxy bedded, trigger tune. Stainless heavy barrel and action. (Not really heavy more like a 2b) Factory threaded, a slim Sonic 35 suppressor and 30mm talleys. We chose the kryptec camo as it’s nicer than black plastic.
The stock is factory alloy pillar bedded too. Round count is probably 200odd. Barrel life should be maybe 6-7000. It was new in October.

Shoots factory fodder to .5 moa all day.

Cost me 1600 all up. Looking for 1150.

You mean the trigger weight spring has been trimmed to lighten it?

Yes. A coil, that leaves plenty to increase pull using the adjuster if required. I like a safe but lighter trigger than the standard Laywer spec.

I've done the same. You can trim the spring down to 1.5lb before you run into issues with the sear not engaging. But then as you say, use the adjuster to wind it back up.

I picked up a new tikka super light elite. I’ve got a soft spot for tikka.
