Thread: Howa 7mm08 bolt

Have been given a howa 7mm08 rifle without a bolt. Im assuming a .308 bolt would work as well? Thought id try here in the off chance someone has one that may suit. Otherwise if anyone could point me in a direction of possibly securing one?

gunworks sell new actions so they be a good start point.......always seems dodgy as hell when rifle turns up without a bolt....

Yeah any short action “standard bolt face 22-250,243,7-08,308 6.5creedmoor etc will work
However you can’t just put it in and shoot
Needs to be checked by a gunsmith 1st
With factory tolerances every one is slightly Different so may need some adjustment for head space etc

Yes i thought it might. I was with the fella when he bought rifle new while back so i know its not stolen. He wont be renewing his license and doesnt want this left in the house.
