    Import permit * 2

Must be my lucky day today, last month I got an import permit for a number of parts (magazines and buffer tube Kit), so I ordered the parts and they arrive the other day. But today I get another import permit with a different permit number but with the same parts listed. Looks like they processed my request twice. So back to brownells for another order

Always good when that happens. Or when they miss customs and arrive at your address.

Be aware Brownells have changed their "Fee" for processing stuff requiring an export permit. (recievers, actions etc)

Is this for anything over $100 USD, as I just brought a few items a few weeks ago (under 100) and there was no processing fee added to the order

    $250???

They have this note, but that's if they have to apply for a new license themselves, I believe?

Note: If the value or product nature of your order requires Brownells to apply for an export license from the Department of State there will be an additional charge of $250 to reimburse us for the licensing fees.

Checked, my paperwork from 17 Feb states:
The fee is assessed at 3% of the value of the application or a minimum of $10 USD

Guys, it appears its just changed very recently as in this month.

Is this for anything over $100 USD, as I just brought a few items a few weeks ago (under 100) and there was no processing fee added to the order
It for anything that required export permits, for example a AR15 striped lower reciever requires export permit even though its less than $100 they might be weird rules to us but we have to play in their sandpit

Just means do bigger orders to make it worth your time if you have to pay the $250 fee.

And pay the gst. Just don't make it over $1000 or you need an agent (even more money). On the up side bigger orders of smaller items generally work out to cheaper shipping.
