    Inflatable mattress and fly

Hey team. Now I am sorted with a pack, I am after an inflatable mattress, and lightweight fly to keep me dry on overnight trips. What do you use/recommend? I know I can go buy a cheap fly or tarp from the warehouse etc, but it will inevitably rip and I don't like things going into landfill. I'm ex army, so no stranger to setting up a fly hootchie style. I already have a decent sleeping bag, and gortex bivvy bag (that I could sleep in at a pinch)
    Appreciate you help!

Get yourself into a decent material store and ask the assistants if they have any heavy duty waterproof parka nylon or such like in stock.if so get yourself 3-5metres(whatever you fancy. now find yourself a seamstress(im lucky i married one)and get her to hem it up.now go to a sports store and get one of those grmmet kits and put some grommets in for ropes.
being ex mil-youve obviously got nouse so youll do a proper job 1st up.
voila youve got a fly/ hoochie and less than 1/2 price youd pay for a big brand one.
me tightarse -happy to sleep under a tarp!bloody dry as too!
