JACKS BACK.... the knife that is :)

OK, Iíve sorted out jig to keep these babies uniform and have been busy in the workshop in between hunting and work, have a few ready to go next week (as Iím away hunting this weekend)
Sheath is custom designed made by Taurus leather company, great company!
Handle is brown ish OD green ish canvas Micarta, all I could get that was cost effective at the time... with silver pins.

Steel is D2 and is sitting at around 60-61 RC.
Cutting edge is approximately 115 mm or 4.6Ē with an overall blade length of 130mm and overall length of knife is approximately 250mm -260mm making handle about 125 mm ish.

    Hollow ground or flat ground.

    250 plus postage.

A few lads have them from here and Iím getting very good feedback, Iíve also tested the hell out of them this winter and have a few other lads I know testing them out heavily over the last 6 months, all love the knife! This will be the only style of hunting knife I will make from now on, it works well and is a jack of all trades, not perfect but gets the job done.
Even had one owner use it to stick pigs with !! That surprised me... bloody legend!!

Itís not a bone hacker/saw if you start doing that it could chip the blade, carry a bone saw FFS !

That is one sexy bit of kit. Blown my budget lately on new gear but I'd love one of these at some point

I like the shape and your fit and finish looks great. You mentioned chipping - do you only use D2?

I use RWL34 as well but if some one wants that the price will pretty much double, D2 is a good steel as itís kind of a semi stainless and eaiser to care for than straight carbon steel, it also holds a wicked edge. Not the easiest steel to work with though.
Itís a hard steel and itís not designed to be used as an axe or a cleaver, all Iím saying is itís intended purpose is field dressing and boning out animals in the field. The only chip Iíve actually had was on a rwl34 knife and it was at the base of the blade, a mate was using it to hack through a neck bone on a big stag. Kinfe is still sweet.
If you have any questions maybe PM Danny and ask his thoughts, sounds like heís used his a shit load so heíll know !
