    KAHLES Helia Super 4x32

Vintage KAHLES scope, check out the credentials on line. Came on a rifle I bought years ago and has been sitting in a cupboard for ages. Itís a classic premium quality scope, fixed power. Seems to be from the 1960ís. Freezer test revealed no internal fogging so seals are still fine.

Steel tube and aluminium eye bell, exterior is worn which gives testament to build quality as itís clearly not been out there doing it. Glass is very sharp and reticle moves freely on windage and elevation.

    Reticle is type 7í

Looks like it to me also. My eyes are pretty bad without my reading glasses though. I had tis in my 4x steel tube kahles. Older silver wire reticle. They used these before etched glass. Not in common. Kahles will service.

Just catching up on this now, ha! Not mildew but yes the vertical crosshairs has little legs on it as if the old film on the wires has become slightly rough in the edge. Not all over and not inside the fine crosshairs reticle. It seems quite common apparently. Haven’t heard it’s a sign of anything negative.

I have also heard Khales will service

    Yes 26mm tube.

I must need new glasses as the only little bumps I can see are on the horizontal thick posts not the vertical posts.

    The photo is sideways.

These fixed power Kahles scopes are great. Got one on the way myself. Pretty amazing how such an old scope can rival a lot of what's available today.
