hi pete , the shipping is around $170 nz , so by the time it gets here , and if the gst thing has to be done , I may as well just get a new one here ..... if I was flying to the states anytime soon I would just buy one and bring it back

Unless you are shooting 500+ rounds a week or you got the spare cash I would recommend you find a second hand Dillon 550B.
They come up on trade me about once a month and can normally be won for about 2/3 the cost of new.
400 - 500 rounds an hour is easily done with a Dillon 550b.
    Life time no BS warranty.

    Good luck.

    Great advice there.
Dillon is good gear but the Hornady lock n load progressive presses are pretty shit hot as well. You can use almost any die in the hornady opposed to the dillon and do not require different tool heads per caliber.

brand new twins ... down to one wage ...... spare cash?...... I have had bugger all go wrong with my lee , yes they are cheaper made than the blue or green ones , but I can pump out 1000 rounds in a about 3 hours .. that's more than enough for me , I will wait for 45south , or just keep a look out... I have been told to get the Dillon dies for the cases as they function thru the ar smoother ..
cheers for all your comments guys

    Hi stumpy
I thought a bit about this when i wanted to start reloading and just went for the 650 straight up. Didnt own a single stage for quite a while after that either, as i was just reloading 9mm. A bit pricey, but its made up for that 10 fold. I dont have much free time (and now less - now 2 kids...) And the ablity to make up 150-250 rounds for the week in bugger all time is great.

I got the case feeder, but if your watching the pennies, maybe without for a start and just manually feed cases into the drop tube ( i considered this, and still reckon it would be ok to do, just a bit slower. But would be as easy as pull handle, put projectile on case, put old case into tube, repeat - and have done this when mucking around)

Just buy 1 extra tool head ($50) so you can use it as a single or for doing a one step thing ie full length sizing/ decapping of 223, before cleaning etc, and all bases covered.
