Left Handed Bolt Action Rifle wanted

I'm looking for a good left handed bolt action rifle. Prefer a Sako but happy to consider something similar. Preffered caliber is 6.5x55 but happy to look at a different caliber.
I'm a south paw and after years of hunting with right handed bolt actions, I've decided try a left handed bolt action.
My 27 year old Winchester XTR 6.5x55 still does the job, but an excuse for another rifle sounds like a good idea to me.

When you find one you will wish you did it years ago.
    Good luck with your search.

It's a sad truth but us southpaws have limited selection

I've been meaning to buy or build a lefty too, but somebody sold me my intended project rifle in right hand on tardme for a fraction of the cost of building it.

There are plenty of options if you look around - some bargains to be had too - right place right time. Browning abolts and xbolts and BARS, tikkas - t3 and m595/m695 series, remington 700s, TC, savage, Sako's, etc. Have owned/do own a few lefty rifles, mainly brownings and tikka. Last year I got a Tikka Hunter Stainless/wood with fluted barrel in left hand, it was a very nice rifle, too nice to bash up in the mountains so I sold it.

Yeah looks like it. I've had a look at the Tikka's and that will probably what I end up with. Maybe a nice secondhand lefty Sako will find it's way into my safe one day. Hard to justify the 3k+ for a new Sako.
Does anyone import secondhand Sako's? A hunting mate of mine used to know of someone who imported a few second hand Vixens some time ago, but he's lost track of him.

Yep I too liked the look of the Tikka Hunter stainless/wood, but I can't imagine it will stay looking new for too long for me either....well I hope not!

I got a second hand lefty Savage for @TimeRider a couple of years ago. Really accurate and very good value.

Sako don't do a LH in anything other than a long action IIRC and even then it's a wood (heavy) stock with blued action in very limited chamberings. 06's only last time I could be bothered. I gave up on them years ago. There's the occasional LH AII turn up in a short action secondhand but is beaten to shit usually and needs a lot of work.
