    Leupold VX3i (1.5-5x20)

Leupold VX3i (note: 'i' is for improved, not illuminated).

Great scope. Nice and compact, with a practical magnification range (suitable for the really close stuff on 1.5x, and out to 250-300m on 5x).

At a mere 9 ounces, it won't weigh you down. Good for a lightweight setup!

    Lifetime warranty.

Superficial scrape on edge of tube near rear ocular which occurred when I bumped it while climbing down scree . Doesn't affect the performance in any way, and the working condition of the scope is perfect.

Selling to make some room for another scope - something I can dial with.

    $500

Why don't you just put a Leupold S1 Dial on the scope.
    They only cost $140.
    5 minutes max to install.
    Nice and low profile.
Plenty of dial up for a low power scope.
Make sure they supply the little ball bearing that goes in as the zero stop once you are zeroed.

I run a VX3i 2.5-8 with S1 dial in my 308 bush pig and its perfect for anything out to 350>400m

Had no idea about the s1 dial. Read up on them now. I'm gonna get one of those instead! Cheers akaroa - you've saved me $$.

Scope not for sale any longer.

They fit in the relatively recent vx3 scopes and definitely the vx3i s .
You will end up with an awesome light weigth dial up scope.

Cheers mate ;0) if you're ever down south I'll get you a beer with the $$ I've now saved haha.

I've been looking at some European dial up scopes, and although the glass is great they're just a tad bit too heavy and bulky for an ultralight mountain rifle. Even the Swaro Z5 (owned one for a couple years) which is one of the lighter options available - still twice as heavy as the leupy 1-5x.

I'm down your way and over to Stewart island for the first two weeks of December. Just a
holiday and my adult children and partners are coming.
But will sneak in a rifle and the dog if @223nut can get me into some close to the village hunting.
Just nice to chill there while the world gets wound up for christmas

Get them from any shop that stocks leupold, some keep a few on hand otherwise they just order them in from the distributor.

If you use the S1 dial you don't have to worry about the power you have the scope on.

With the B&C its only accurate at specific scope power settings.
