    Why the VX5?
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

The class doesn't seem much different to the vx6hd, but couldn't justify the extra money. And only really wanted the lockable turret

Yeah it's coverd and not lockable unlike the vx6hd that can have two locking turrets.

That would work fine though (the VX5). Think they are abt $1500 in Tihape. Well worth it.

Price I found In hunting and fishing was $1699 for the 3-15x44. Wouldn't bother with guncity as no doubt be $150 more.

    What is the lockable turret?
I don't think my 6s turret can be locked?

It only means you can lock it to zero and will only have two full rotations up

How do I do that or is it only certain models that have it?

Sorry I see now I need another turret cap for that.
Good luck with the sale, great scopes.

You can have lockable turret retro fitted to the vx-6. Im getting a price to have it done as the cds turret does move from time to time when you're carrying the rifle. I can let you know when I hear back if you like

$1699 with the firedot reticle and zero lock turret, $1599 with regular duplex and zero lock.

Wow that's really depreciated the old VX6

    $1400 for the VX6

Does the VX6 have zero stop?
