Thread: long range hunting scope

Looking to upgrade current scope on my long range build , after 30mm tube, at least 50mm obj lens and a minimuim of 20x for top mag. as for the reticle prefer a moa or a simple duplex kind, illuminated would be a plus, trying to stay at the 2k mark for $
so looking at a nightforce probably but will consider others

Vortex gen 2 5-25 are around 1500 if you can Find one. Reloaders is a good place to start looking. Awesome scope.

if you were spending that kind of money, would it not be best to go with a nightforce over the leupold?

Sig tango 4 nice glass heaps of features good reticle ffp and in their words immortal warranty 1800-2000$

Glass on the leupold is better for hunting.

The VX6 4-24 is a very nice scope & has great glass, lighter than a NF too, but the 34mm tube is a proper pain in the arse & you'll need to add another $500 for decent rings. Also ya not guna find a new HD for your budget as new they're well over 3g

NF SHV 5-20 with target turret is a bloody nice scope & worth a look.

yea I looked at the SHV was basically 2,500 new was trying to see if anyone out there had a second hand NF for sale as I dont really care if its second hand(if in good condition)

Got a Trijicon 5-20x50 Moa turrets, mildot reticle & tritium "fire dot" . As new condition. Very good glass - way better than Nf to my eyes.
