    Long Tom .303

I'm on the hunt for a long tom.
If it's got tits or tyres it's gonna be trouble one of these days!

23.7 Km's would be useful on deer but the carry would kill you. Ha ha ha ha
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Been several on TradeMe recently so a check of closed auctions will reveal prices. One still available with a "Buy now" $425 here.

It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.

What are you asking? Price depends on condition.

Please just be careful buying them, the one Kiwisapper has kindly pointed out is in fact a range pattern rifle, but he is right they (Long Toms) do pop up on TM, The Range Pattern is well worth collecting as an example of the LE's progression but you might be a little disappointed as its not what you may have pictured as a Long Tom.

as to price it depends on the quality of the rifle the markings and the wood work. Barrel condition is important but not so much to me, I cast my own projectiles and can normally make something to fill out what's left of the rifling. but the one I have I paid 400 but that was with two bayonets and some other bits, but that was 3 years ago
I appreciate & respect differing views, I greatly value the benefit of good conversation around differing opinions & respect points of view contrary to my own, however when you’re a belligerent self-opinionated obnoxious troll like individual, +1 to the ignore list

I know where there is one but I am not too sure if the owner will sell, I can check if you like. It was the first big calibre rifle that I used

Yeah, that would be appreciated thanks. I'm pretty sure there will be some coming up in the militaria auction but I'm testing the waters anyway.
