Looking to buy 284Win rifle build components and reloading gear

    Hey team.
I think I've finally shot out a rifle as my 7-08 is no longer the rifle it once was.
As I have recently purchased a 308Win the thought was to make the next rifle something less similar and between the 308 and 7mm Rem Mag.
My idea so far is to re-barrel as a 284Win.
It's for a Blaser R93 so will need a new blank rather than a take off thanks.

    I'm on the hunt for:
    New 7mm barrel. 1:8.5 or 1:9 twist.
    284 brass
284 dies. Redding Type-S, or Wilson or Forster

    Many thanks and Merry Christmas

    James

Could an admin please fix the tag on my first post. I accidentally hit the FS tag rather than WTB.
    Many thanks

Have a Shillen blank 1:9 but suspect it would be a too heavier profile for what you want.
May also have for sale all the other bits you need.
PM me if you want more details.

I shoot a .284 and love it but also keep in mind a 7mm SAUM as another option!

Cheers. Probably treading on the toes of my Rem Mag though

Good choice. I have a T3 based .284 Win reamed from an unfired 7-08 barrel. I guess yours will cost more than mine, but I’m sure you will enjoy it.

Necked up Lapua brass, 162 ELD-X and 2213SC for me.

    Good luck.

Who’s doing the rebarreling smithing? Threading into a factory shank?? I’ve got an R93 so interested in member’s experiences.

Search the forum. Thereís a few here who have done this. I think Hardy will do it but Iím a bit shy of his work. Iím planning to get Desert Guns in Cromwell to do it from recommendations of others.

I had Dan do 3 Blaser 93 barrels for me I couldn't fault his work if you are not keen on his barrels get him to fit a Bartlin.
