Does the 310 tool take other dies?

Looks like it takes other 310 dies. I like the fact the Lee takes standard dies.

You mean, I can get a pair of standard Lee 6.5x55 dies and use them with the relevant bits from my .303 Lee Classic Loader kit?

The Lee equivalent of the Lyman 310 would be the hand press which takes standard dies.

OK. I'm just using the .303 Lee Classic Loader, have not got a Lee hand press but I've seen them, not quite as nifty as the Lyman 310 though - the Lyman has a certain steampunk grace! I need either a 6.5x55 Lee Classic Loader / Lyman 310 as either will allow me to neck size 6.5 Japanese. I could probably do it with a standard sizing die too, traveling light so to say.

Well just spray paint it black for the 'look'. I'm with you on the travelling light, but I prefer the versatility of a press that can use standard dies. Looks a lot easier to use too.

    Thanks @tetawa

Looks like the Lyman 310 ones but sadly not what I'm looking for. Have you got one for 6.5x55?

(the 257 roberts takes a 6.5mm bullet, whereas the 6.5x55 Swede + 6.5x51 Jap take 6.7 mm bullets)

No, this all I have and don't even know where they came from, the 257Roberts takes .257, same as 250-3000 and 25-06.

    Yes I agree.

The Lyman Ideal 310, or even the Lee hand press, look easier to use than the lee classic loader. You can sit and use them in front of the TV.

I mean, "Tap, tap, Tap-Clink" is more annoying for your better half than a quiet "Ungh![squeeze]"
