    Lowrance Elite 4 HDI Fishfinder-Chartplotter

    $375

    Lowrance Elite 4 HDI Fishfinder-Chartplotter
Have this spare now as my new boat already had a Navman Track-Fish 6500
2 years old like new except the transponder (or is it transducer) has antifoul paint on it – does not affect its performance.
Great little unit and a very good portable option for a on/off dingy fishing vehicle.

Has the full NZ Navionics card in it – so just hook it up to 12v and away you go
Prepared to sell her for $375 incl shipping or it will go on TM as a $1 reserve. (Should sell for $400ish +PP)
The Navionis is worth 250+ and I bought the unit in via E Bay at approx. cost of 400NZ (it was just under the GST/Duty threshold for memory)

    Google the stats etc

    Be quick
    Peter

Thats a really good price (but I would still keep it for a spare. No parts available for Navman as they went bust)

To be honest - I am over boats at this point in time - my boat broke free of the mooring 2 days ago (in that nasty NW-NWW) lucky it ended up on best part of beach without rocks and neighbours saw it happen
We got her off OK and back on neighbours mooring who not live here - (3 times thats happened in last 20 years :-(
I thinks sell the boat too and just use water taxi - prob be cheaper in the long run

    Thats no good

Someone once told me the 2 happiest days in a mans life are the day he finally buys his own boat and the day he sells it

    Well said
Unfortunately - a boat is a payoff for living in a remote location which is great - but has its down sides like this. I would dread to add up the cost of boats and boating over this last 20 years – but it would be well into the 6 figure mark without question.
The biggest downside is getting ripped by those repairing/replacing and advising – not to mention the Council that now are screwing us over mooring monitoring fees and consents etc
