    M1 carbine mags

In the process of purchasing an m1 carbine, but it has no magazines. If anyone has a mag or two that they'd be willing to sell, I'd be keen as.

Have got me hands on said carbine. Still after a few mags. Any size mag is fine, will be putting it on E as soon as I can get down to the station. In fact a wee variety would be nice.

Would also be interested in an original rear sight, and possibly any spares anyone might be wanting to get rid of.

    M1 CARBINE 30 CARBINE MAGAZINES | Brownells
Once you have it on e-cat just ask for a permit. Unfortunately you will only get 3 under $100usd.

    Good idea.

Still hunting regardless. Am eyeing up another carbine, to keep one on A for the missus (I reckon she's going to like it and she won't be allowed to play if it's on E)

Beware of those mags at brownells as they are for the newly manufactured auto ordinance m1s and may not fit yours.

Ouch, that is not exactly clear on the Brownells web page.

Something to keep in mind is that m1c mags are famous for sucking sweaty monkey balls, over half of mine don't work properly-I wouldn't buy another that I couldn't test

Haha well I have one to test, need to get down to shop to get some powder and load some rounds.

When you say they suck giant donkey dick, any reason why? Sticky followers, weak springs, lips, what?

All of the above, and the smallest of small dents stop them working.
I tend to treat mags as consumable items, I baby my carbine mags-padded transport and don't drop free into the ground etc.
I have been told the Korean War aged gi mags are the best, don't know how true that is but none of my civilian mags is worth anything.

I really should import a pile and test them, keep the good ones and cut the bad ones down into A cat mags
