it was a good price on here at 1150, but I cannot say the guy on TM got a bargain.

Magnum Research carbon 22 are very nice, super light with Barracuda stock, but they are not top end like Kidd and Volquartsen. The barrels, while better than Ruger factory, are a step down from custom grade ones. Kidd uses Lother blanks for example.

Magnum Research triggers are slightly better than the Ruger factory stuff. But not in the same class as Volquartsen, let alone Kidd.

The action has rail machined in, while it was a nice selling point 10 years ago, these days people want to push their guns out to 200m+, screw-on rails are preferred because you can get +20MOA rails.

the Barracuda stock version (which would be of equal value as the Magpul if not higher) was retailing for 1500 in both gun city and serious shooters. So at 1150 it was a good deal, but at 1550 it is more than what I would pay for a secondhand (and I recognise that this one is threaded with a can).

Good on you mate for selling it at this price.
