    Marlin 1895SS 47-70 Govt

    The ultimate Bush Pig.
    Forget cut down 308s a 350gr projectile at 2100fps will deliver 50% more energy than a 308.

This rifle is in very good condition a few small bumps and some bluing rubbed off the receiver at the lever hinge see photo #2.

The Black Walnut stock has a hand rubbed oil finish

    Upgraded Decelerator pad

About 20yrs old so one of the good ones micro grove rifling not the newer Ballard style.

I have done heaps of load work with the 350gr hollow point up to 2100 fps. That makes this a serious hitter and accurate as well.

Comes fitted with a Leupold VXII 2-7x32

I can probably find some bronze brushes and a jag for cleaning somewhere.

I have a heap of cases, and projectiles that the buyer will have first right of refusal of. Also some Redding dies.

    $1050

looking at another bergara but in 45/70 myself as it has pretty good performance out to 150m with subsonic rounds. @jim160 are the 500gr cast projectiles? looking at 420gr cast lead that a local is making or buying a 500gr mold and learning to cast my own.
