Runs well, solid, and reliable. Does have the gear box issue of the era where you need to double clutch 4th to 3rd it wonít get worse and all other gears are fine. Was an ex lease before I got it so body/interior isnít perfect but good for age. No rust. Make a great work ute or for towing boats, floats, or camping/ ski field trips etc. Also 4x4 works well and has Rear diff lock. Been regularly service every 10,000kms since I have had it.

Didn't see the "laden" in gvm... anyway, that's far more sensible.

I take it not in the traffic these days

Got a mate with the same series as this, not sure what model. Seems to go all right for him, I find it a little springy but could well be that he needs new shocks in it. Also mine's on aftermarket foam cell shocks which make a power of difference... The only other thing is the rear axle is quite well forward into the passenger compartment compared wiith some other utes, gives it a wider tray but a lot of overhang.

Generally R is taller than 1 in the slushies for some stupid reason. I can't quite work out why you'd need to go faster backwards than in 1 fwds but there you go... And yes, the rewinders ute is legendary around these parts, the only thing that ute can't pass is a gas station. The number of times I've been cut up at roundabouts and traffic lights and I look over and 'oh f me, Maca again' haha... Can't hold up the workers hey?
