    Model 7 7SAUM

I've bought a new rifle so need to make space in the cabinet.
Up for sale is my Model 7 in 7SAUM. This is a very light rifle, 6lb 10oz with scope and rings.
It is a factory Model 7 7SAUM. I got Abe to flute the factory barrel and flute the bolt ( I did not get the action trued). The bolt has had a lightweight firing pin fitted. The stock is a carbon fibre one that I made, weight of the stock is just over a pound.
The rings are lightweight talleys and the scope is a Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x42 with mildot reticle. The click value is closer to 0.3MOA rather than the 0.25 MOA claimed. I just put the correction factor into Shooter and have shot deer out to nearly 600 yds with it.
Rather than lapping the Talley mounts I bedded the scope into the mounts using epoxy resin.
It is not a tack driver, shoots the 162 amax at 2817 fps ( with a mild load of 65gr 2217) and groups around 1" at 100 yds, although the last time I had it out I shot a 0.5" 3 shot group at 100 yds.
Also comes with dies and some brass, nosler custom and remington.
Also has a radial brake made by Abe.

I am after $3000 for the package as in the photo ( but bipod not included)

    PM me if interested.

I used this rifle on this hunt http://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co.n...rd-deer-13721/ (there is a video of the shot on page 2 or 3 of the thread)

Haven't done a lot of load development. When I did my initial load development I hadn't wound the die down quite far enough so rounds were quite tight to chamber and I was getting extractor marks on the brass. Since winding it down far enough I haven't bothered going back to see if I can get a bit of extra speed. 67 and 68 gr 2217 gave 2949 and 2989fps but extractor marks. I think I also had them seated a bit too long and was jamming them. I now have them set up with a 5thou jump.

I've got a potential buyer for the scope, so you can buy just the rifle and mounts for $2200.
