REMINGTON-ELLIOT - 'PEPPERBOX' Five-Barrel DERRINGER...22 RF - antique Remington-Elliot "New Repeating Pistol, No.2", also known as a "Pepperbox" derringer. There were manufactured between 1863-1888 and about 17,500 were made in .32 Rimfire caliber. It features a cluster of 5 barrels with rotating firing pin and a ring trigger. The left barrel rib is marked "MANUFACTURED BY E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y." while the right side is marked "ELLIOT'S PATENTS MAY 29, 1860 OCT. 1, 1861". Overall condition is very good but there is very little of the original blue finish remaining. Most of the gun is a smooth brown patina. there is no significant pitting. The walnut grips are in excellent shape, free of cracks or chips. The gun seems to function well and the hammer cocks and falls with each pull of the trigger. Bores are good for a pistol of this era and while they do show good rifling, there are some dark spots and pits as well. $550 CLICK ON THE PICTURES BELOW!

Now if only the Iver Johnson Safety Automatic - second hammerless model had been made with plastic and cheap stampings they might have really had something there, right? $400 CLICK ON THE PICTURES BELOW!

By 1918 they were also issued to Tank Crewmen. "The French Purchasing Commission selected firm of Gabilondo y Urresti-Eibar and their "Ruby" clone of the FN/Browning Model 1903 pistol in .32 ACP (7.65 mm) caliber. As the contract almost immediately escalated to 30,000 pieces a month, Gabilondo y Urresti subcontracted to a number of other Basque region manufacturers, including Bonifacio Echeverria." $400 CLICK ON THE PICTURES BELOW!
