My Tikka needs to get naked.

    Hi everyone,
I've drunk the Hardy cool aid and have decided to build a Hardy custom tikka.
I purchased a donor rifle and I thought I would try sell a few bits here to help fund the project.
    Everything is almost new condition.

    Bell & Carlson stock $400.
    .270 WSM barrel $250
    Terminator 2 muzzle brake $250

How does a SAUM compare to 300WSM?

Sorry and barrel length? Looks like it might have been shortened?

Guy said 2 boxes only at rifle range (40 rounds), I would believe it given there's not a single mark on it. Everything looks new.

The 162 amax from a 7saum is easier on the shoulder launched at 3000fps+ when shot from the lightest rifle possible built on a tikka platform

The velocity necessary to enable a 30 cal projectile to better the 7mm 162g amax in an ultralight non braked short action rifle causes recoil which exceeds the comfort zone of most.

They both kill deer to 800yrds, one is just easier on the shoulder unbraked

Barrel has not been shortened other than threading and re-crown for the brake install.

I'll do some homework about it. I have tossing up between 7mmRM or 300WSM.

Pencil me in for the stock. As it is for a 270wsm would it fit a 308 as they are both short actions?

Will do. All tikkas are long action and fit the same stocks.

I would male use of the long action and go 7mmsaum with the 162 seated out and a 22" barrel.
