Hey mate where did you order these from? I'm after a lightweight synthetic stock for my 336 dark

Boyds. Not sure you can get a synthetic stock for the Marlin rifles, hence going for a laminated option.

You can but they are a little difficult to find, I think Ramline? makes one also Marlin has it's only synthetic rifle now.

Ramline are I believe discontinued. I’m also pretty sure the GC one you referenced is painted hardwood (same as the 336 Dark)

Damn. Trying to lighten my dark a bit, I'm already putting that mlok rail on it and going for lightweight rings for my 1-6 scope

A more accurate spec on the GC marking... https://thegundealer.net/product/mar...-30-30w-20bbl/

I had a Ramline on a Winchester 94 many moons ago. To be honest they were not great quality, noisey and no lighter. I think the laminated stock is from memory lighter than the Dark hardwood. I remember weighing them but can’t remember weight. Butt and forearm was over 100grams lighter I think

Any chance this will fit a 1895 45/70?

I keep meaning to take the but pad off my laminate 336 stock and getting my drill and hollowing out the stock a tadd.

Interesting. Knowing what I am like with tools I would probably split it in half. Wonder if there is a gunsmith or "stocksmith" who does that kind of thing.

That would work. Plenty of meat in the stock.
