    / Offers: Tikka custom 6.5-284, Winchester M70 270win

    Hi All,

I am looking for offers on the following 2 rifles and reloading kit. I am planning to move to 7mm so need to sell to fund project but honestly not sure what price to put these up at. I know what they have cost me but what are people willing to pay....

    1. Tikka Custom 6.5-284, Not much left that is actually Tikka, just the action and bolt. 500 rounds down the tube.

26" Trueflite UM 8.5" twist. 8 deep flutes. Not sure exactly what contour but its .95" at the muzzle. It may be their F-Class contour?
    Hardy Gen 5 stealth suppressor.
Bix'n Andy trigger -- Amazing trigger, big step up from the standard Tikka which is a good trigger. Can supply original trigger as well.
Senator Varmint / tactical stock with saddle cheek piece. Long length of pull - 14.75"
Ejection port opened - very close to the new T3X ejection port. Port opened to enable use of the Spuhr mount.
Atlasworks Trigger guard for std mag's.
    Spuhr 34mm, 24MOA, ISMS mount.
    NF ACTAR 5-25 MOAR scope.
    Blackhawk sling.

This gun has been used for varmint and long range shooting on steel out to 1180 yards. It is very accurate. Likes Berger 140gr VLD Hunting bullets and likes the new 143gr Hornady ELD-X bullets as well, both using Retumbo powder. Easy sub half inch groups @100 yards. Targets are 674 yards (round one) and other is at 1180 yards. This rifle has never done long strings of fire, always ever only shot 3 and allowed to cool. Barrel cleans easily. Couple very small marks on turret caps on scope but glass is 100%.

Can come with 300 Norma Brass - 100 3x fired, 200 1-2 times fired, some currently loaded. Some (about 6) suffered from human error after not cleaning the case lube off well enough but rest are in good condition. Currently 140 cases prep'd ready for Powder and projectile. All cases have been annealed every firing and trimmed if required.
    100 Hornady 143gr ELD-X bullets, 40 Berger 140gr VLD Hunting bullets.
Redding Die's - Full Length, Type S Neck bushing die, Body die and seating die with micrometer VLD stem.

Would like to sell as a complete kit but could break it up for the right offers. The bipod is used on other rifles so is not included.

    $$ ??? PM Offers.

    2. Winchester Model 70 Extreme weather in 270 Win. Around 220 rounds down the tube. Has been my goto bush gun.
    Stock standard - no modifications.
    22" barrel
    Leupold VX-2 3-9x40
    Blackhawk sling.

Redding dies, Full length, neck and competition seating die.
Hornady brass around 100pcs most are twice fired.
    Some loaded rounds as well.

Again another accurate rifle when fed Hornady SST's and 2213sc. Very easy sub MOA gun.

    $$ ??? PM Offers.

That M70 spins my wheels, let me get back to you on it as I also wouldn't have a clue what kind of money it's worth...

7mm - good move. "Ya seen tha lite"
U could always get Grant to rebarrel that 6.5 back the original 284 calibre (a calibre that's very underrated) & sell the 6.5x284 bbl

ballpark figures.... This is what I am having trouble determining.

Lets say for the 6.5-284 - complete package $7200
    Rifle only + mount $3400
    Scope $3000
    Reloading items $800

    The 270 as a package $2000
    Rifle $1300
    Scope $400
    Reloading items $300

Open to comments or if you think I am well off the mark just say so A couple people have messaged me and I have put these figures to them at this stage.

Pricing on the .270 is too high, are you willing to be flexible?, in the current market, you will need to be flexible and bring your own jar of Vaseline.

It's yours to sell but I think you are going to struggle at those prices. Nice if you can get them but I would seriously doubt it.

The 6.5x284 is still just a tikka yet you have it priced the same as the Blaser R8 in Sidney's listing.

I reckon you would be better off just buying a 7mm barrel and having it swapped over.

As I said I would welcome feedback. Yes the prices are somewhat flexible, they are open to negotiation should someone be interested.

A re barrel is not out of the question but one has to go for that.

Not quite sure about bringing a jar of Vaseline tho. I am happy to be flexible but not shafted

The Winchester M70 is sold pending funds after negotiating with a fellow forum member.

I have decided that I will re barrel the Tikka so that is no longer up for offers.

Thanks for the feedback and offers.
