    Pack

Looking for a decent hikeing pack if anyone's got one they no longer need. Want one that puts the weight on to the hips. Those Tatonka bison look pretty good is there anywhere that sells it cheaper than h&f?
    Cheers

I have an un used tatonka Bison, olive green, 75ltr.

Its only unused because of my life revolving around my young kids. PM me if you are interested, I'm off to work now but may sell it.

Yep, I've got a 70 litre Kathmandu Vanguard pack.

I've run some very high-end American packs, and the Kathmandu definitely holds its own in durability and functionality.

I'm not the biggest fan of Kathmandu stuff, and their new packs don't give me a tingling feeling, but this is an older midel, and the construction is very good. They retailed at approx $600-700 when they were still being made.

Bonus is that the external frame can be removed, so you can wash the pack etc.

@Frodo do you have a pic of just the frame? What torso length suited for it?

Actually, my bad - I'm confusing it with another pack.

The frame is an internal frame. So the pack is one unit (not a separate frame + pack), but the two fibreglass rods (orange things) which give the pack its rigidity, can be removed. As can the shoulder straps.

Some packs won't allow the removal of the back support rods, so I guess that's a plus for it. So it can be broken down for washing etc.

    Torso length: 65cm

    I'd say it's a medium size?
