    Parker Hale Safari .222

My old friend down the street is looking to sell his triple two.
For someone looking to buy a retro rifle in a retro caliber this would be a great chance, it has been well cared for, the wood work is stunning in a light grain and the blueing is still deep and rich. There is the odd spot where he hasnt been able to see to clean it off.
The rifling is crisp and the bore shiny.

    He is looking for $750
Scope he is keeping, for the retro user this still has the hooded front sight but the ramp is missing from the rear sight.

Looks like it's done little work, many full moons since it was made.

Hi, nice rifle. Is the action 222 length or longer? I cannot quite tell from the pictures.
    Thanks

They are a full sized Mod 98. Good old guns regarded as run of the mill in their (my) day but have now been elevated to classic status. That's a good one and pretty good value.

I seem to recal a certain culler used one to great effect on thar at mt cook before vixens etc came around...he had his loaded VERY hot as the full sized action gave a fair bit of wiggle room...happy to be corrected.
