Peltor earmuff headband or earmuffs for parts...

Hey all, I have a set of electronic listen-only earmuffs on a hard hat mounting system on my Petzl hard hat, I am thinking I could use them as normal earmuffs plugged into my cellphone via an adapter when I don't need to wear the hard hat...

What I need to do this is the Peltor H7 or H10 'A' style earmuffs head band. This is either the fixed over-the-head band or the folding 'over-the-head' band style earmuff in these models.

I only need a functional headband and the plastic cup mountings, so the state of the earmuff cups and pads is not important. I can pick a set of H7A standard non-folding for about $30 new, but in the spirit of recycling and diverting stuff from the trash - anyone got one of these sets of earmuffs loafing that either isn't any good due to torn pads or cracked cups or that they aren't using???

    Cheers.

Ahhh, what can't be correct @Sarvo? That's the 'A' (over the head) folding headband model, slightly more moving bits than the non-folding 'A' model. 'B' code is behind the neck, and everything else is some form of either helmet or hardhat mounting.
@charliehorse, yeah something like the headband off those would work. How much are you asking? Could pop over the hill after Her Highness decides we've been good enough to be trusted to mingle again...

@Mauser308 you can have em if you bring a beer when you pick up, I have plenty of pairs and models after 20 plus years of manufacturing. We'll sort out the details via PM. Let me know.

That model new at Blackwood Paykels shelf retail, just under $60inc gst? PM not too far off the hunt, obviously anyone with accounts or trade links isn't paying that though. I think the last lot of folding headband muffs like that I saw brought cost around $40 plus - definitely more than the none-folding 'A' models?

I'll PM you @charliehorse, cheers mate!

I had a price list on the Peltors ( I though on all)
But as above looks like there is a cheaper option

Mine were all the battery powered ones
Tried a pair myself - but could get away from the Sea noise
The Stand shooters in Europe use them - can hear a Pig etc coming in from up to 1K they say

Yes the Peltor electronic earmuffs are a different price class, I have a couple of the noise cancelling versions as well as the listen only set. The sporttacs have a bit of the sea noise, but the tacticals are brilliant if bulky. I wear those on RO duties and don't have an issue with muzzle break noise (the muzzle blast and pressure waves slap you about after a day of it though).

That's why the HT7 listen only set is so good, extremely good noise reduction. About $350+ when you could buy them (older model now) with the helmet mount kit so $30 ex Trademe near new in box wasn't too bad. Worth the conversion hassle to get the normal muff setup as well!
