    Press with 1-1/4 thread

    Anybody got an old reloading press with a 1-1/4 thread for larger dies?

    Is that the size of the insert in the rcbs one

    Not sure Brian but only have to main threads, std is 7/8" I want to fit some 577/450 dies and they are 1-1/4". I know there are other threads but not main stream. The Hornady has inserts for fast change but that a bayonet type fitting. If it's threaded it's probably 1-1/4"

    Mines got the insert and it looks about 1 1/4 but I've never had any bigger dies

    Or check a std lee press they have a threaded insert to fit std dies also for their quick change bushing

    I think the rcbs presses have the thread you are looking for which the standard insert is screwed into, if you are over hamilton way at any time you are more than welcome to test the fit of your die in my press (RCBS reloader special 5)
