    Rangefinding binoculars

    Just curious...why only those brands?
Have you considered/tried the Bushnell Fusion?
Rushy and I both have a pair and they're great

Or wait a little and get the new Vortex rangefinder binoculars, lifetime unconditional warranty unlike these other brands.

Warranty is only as good as the ability to provide it, I've heard of delays up to 6 months on vortex warranty returns

I prefer good gear. I have looked through some fusions and they seem alright for the price to be honest.

I have money set aside to replace my old geovids (insurance)

The other issue is when they keep on braking and you keep on sending them away for warranty: you end up never using the bloody thing! The worst is if they brake during the hunt of a lifetime. A guy I know is on its third set of Burris eliminator 3... Warranty is good but robustness and reliability is is above warranty for me.

I was just throwing in another option in the mix with the Vortex.
Bushnell have always been good to me so I would recommend them. The NZ wholesaler is not very helpful if you import your own for a third of the price, but a quick email to Bushnell and they sent me a replacement set of binoculars at no cost, and I got to keep the faulty set which still worked perfectly.

That would put the brake on things for sure.

Sounds like you need to be talking to the Au/NZ Vortex agent. They will do the repair or swap without hesitation.
